This annual winter celebration takes place February 12-14 in the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon and features sporting events, music, activities and demonstrations for all ages throughout the weekend.

WinterFest will feature the newly redesigned U.S. Cellular Rail Jam, with competitions broadcast from the U.S. Cellular JumboTron. The Ski Competition kicks off at 5:30pm on Friday and the Snowboarders hit the rail jam on 5:30pm on Saturday. Also on Friday is the Winter Wine Walk, sponsored by Odom Corp. Participants will receive a specialty wine glass and generous tastings of selected wines from around the Northwest.

The Gourds and Hell’s Belles will headline the Mojo Music Eruption at the Festival Center February 12 and 13. Opening the Mojo Music Eruption at 5:30pm is Bend’s own Moon Mountain Ramblers, followed by the soulful Leif James and the Struggle. Headlining Friday night’s music is the Alt-Country supergroup The Gourds from Austin, Texas, known for its high-energy live shows and dedicated fan base.

Saturday’s music kicks off with American Rock from The Dirty Words, followed by the Janis Joplin reincarnate Bryanna Deane and The Sympathetic Strings. Hell’s Belles closes the Mojo Music Eruption on Saturday, February 13. This all-female AC/DC cover band returns due to popular demand after bringing down the house in 2008.

Sunday features Metal Mulisha, presented by Smolich Motors. New to WinterFest, Metal Mulisha pushes the limits of Freestyle Motocross and Big Air competitions. This world-famous motocross team brings some of its best riders, including Redmond resident Justin Homan.
