Year-long Programs (except Christmas and Spring break)
Cost for all programs: $250 in-district; $338 out of district
Instruments (if needed): $75 annual user fee at Bear Creek or private instrument expense at High Lakes.
Music books are approximately $10. Tuition amounts to less than $4.50 per class. Instructors are hired by COSA.
Children in music programs learn patience, cooperation, concentration, self-discipline, composure, confidence and develop complex thinking skills related to spatial relationships and creativity.
Studies show that children involved in music programs score higher on standardized tests and do better in school.
Music develops the whole child and gives a child the self-discipline to succeed in life.
